She's 21...

pounds, that is. K-bel did great this past month with weight gain. Her new gastrostomy button has been wonderful to her. No infections thus far, all night feedings with no pain, and even a baby girl that will ly down ON HER BELLY!!!! So hard to believe after several months of g-button nightmares. Anyway, for the first time in over a year, we are waiting 2 whole months to go back to the doctor. For me, that really solidified that she was looking good.
So, we will just keep cruising along, hoping that we will reach our goal in no time. And...that eventually, in a year or so...we can throw that silly g-button out the window!

He is Risen...

There is truly no greater gift to mankind. Not only did Jesus Christ live a sinless life on Earth and suffer on the cross for us. But on the third day...the tomb was empty...Jesus had risen! Because of Him, even though I am a sinner, I will spend eternity with the One who came into this world to save us. So, a happy day it was. We had a wonderful Easter.
We traveled West for the weekend. We were at Grammy's house having so much fun playing outside and enjoying family. Nana came to visit on Saturday and Nonny and Mal spent lots of time with us too. We dyed Easter eggs on Saturday night, which is always fun and messssssy. :)
When the kids woke up on Sunday morning, they were surprised to see their Easter baskets full of goodies.
We enjoyed a wonderful service at church and came home for a great meal at Grammy's. After church, we all had lots of fun hunting eggs.
On our way through my parent's town, we stopped at my uncle's house to crash their Easter party/meal. He is an incredible cook anyway, but he truly out did himself. It was quite the buffet and the sweets were delightful. We enjoyed seeing my grandparents, my aunt and uncles, my great grandmother, and lots of cousins...and of course, our Nana. It was really nice to see everyone. I sure wish that we lived closer to all of them.
We hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday weekend. Tomorrow is the day for K-bel to go to the doctor. She looks good to me....I think we can count on a good gain this month. Her belly looks big.I have been working for about 3 or 4 weeks, and I love my job. I could share some incredible stories about how God has already used this time in my life for special things. I have seen and talked to people that I haven't been in contact with in years. And it has blessed me tremendously....my only struggle is that I truly miss my time with the girls. They are well cared for and have fun playing with the other children. I just wish that I was the one playing with them.

It's not easy being cute...

But somebody's gotta do it. We have really enjoyed the weather lately. It has been beautiful and a great time to play outside. Last week sometime we were playing outside and the kids wanted to show me all of their funny faces.
I can't blame them...I always have a camera in their face, so I am sure they wanted to escape the usual request of a pretty smile for mommy :) !
They were cracking me up...by the end, it was me that was smiling and they were having a blast.
And this look...
I wonder how many times I am going to see this over the next 17 years!! I love her...but she sure is a firecracker. We are going to an appointment in the old hometown this week. K-bel had to have her G-button replaced last month, and it really seems to be doing so much better. It is still tender, but we have been infection free for almost a month. She had not gained any weight from the month before, so hopefully this month, we made up for it. We would love to see her weigh atleast 21 pounds....we will see!! Ya'll have a great week.
Easter pics coming soon....promise!

Thankful...

Look at them. I know C has a piece of grass in his face, but just look at them. I couldn't be more thankful. There are days that I wonder if...no HOW crazy we are, but it doesn't matter. We are a blessed family.
